Time-restricted eating may induce micronutrient deficiency
Inadequate intakes of micronutrients are common in individuals with overweight or obesity and may exacerbate metabolic health impairments. Time-restricted eating (TRE) is a feasible dietary strategy for weight loss but may induce micronutrient inadequacy in individuals with a poor baseline diet.
